Topic B – What Is User Experience?
The users experience defines their perception of a product or service. Consistent positive interaction can result in the product becoming a Lovemark – http://www.lovemarks.com/ . ‘A Lovemark could be a small, everyday product that embraces and infuses your life to make it a little better. Equally, it could be a world-changing revelation for thousands.’ Products that become Lovemarks do so as result of consistent positive interaction with customers, which leave the customer with a user experience that is positive. This evokes positive emotions when the product/brand is mentioned or when the customer consumes or interacts with it.

Learning Activity wk1
NEW ENVIRONMENTS
New environments that have left an impression on me are:
Skype – I find it is great way to keep in touch with friends and family overseas and avoiding hefty phone bills. I used it a couple of times for group assignments to conference with fellow members.
EBay – I often use eBay in shopping for different items. The online convenience and easy access are why I use it; otherwise I would not go to auctions to bid for items.
Msn messenger – This is still my preferred communications means online. I find it great for keeping in touch with friends that you touch base with now and again. I use Skype for close friends who I voice call and Msn messenger more for acquaintances.
Google and Google docs – Goggle is great for all quick searches and information retrieval. I’ve used Google docs in the past for group projects. It has a great real time edit tool that allows for all group members to add to the document at the same time. The document administrator creates a document and sends invitations to invite group members as collaborators to the document. An invitation can be sent as a viewer only too.
Amazon – I use Amazon.com for browsing and buying new or used books mostly.
My experiences with the abovementioned environments have been positive, I mostly enjoy the convenience they all provide and the cluster of benefits such as; to purchase items quickly and efficiently, to retrieve and exchange information, to keep in touch with friends and family.
